One of a Kind Play & Cafe LLC is an indoor playground and sensory gym for any and all children under 8.

It is a family owned business that was inspired by Kaleb, our son with Down Syndrome. Kaleb has been in and out of therapy most of his life and as his dad, older brother and I brainstormed business ideas, we realized that having an indoor playground and sensory gym was exactly what he needed to have an extension of that therapy. Also realizing that all children can benefit from it and how amazing that we get to bring this to our community.

Anyone in early childhood knows that children learn best through play. The Fun Factory Sensory Gym (FFSG) team helped us bring our ideas to life and we cannot wait to share it with you all. The gym equipment and toys are designed to unlock the following potential in all children: balance & motion (vestibular input), social interaction & communication, memory & mental mapping, muscle development, hard grip strength, and emotional regulation (FFSG website).

Open play will be available in two-hour sessions during the following hours: Monday–Thursday from 9am to 7pm, Friday from 9am to 8pm, and Saturday from 9am to 1 pm. Saturday afternoons 2-8pm and Sundays 10am-6pm will be available for special events and birthday parties. We will also open up days and time for home schooled children and field trips in the near future.

We are located at 531 N. Greenbriar Road, Unit E. We look forward to having the best time with the little ones and the families of Iredell County and surrounding areas.
