Buffalo’s Christmas Parade: A Tradition of Joy for Over 50 Years

The Buffalo Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Buffalo Christmas parade on December 13, 2025, at 10 am. 

For more than half a century, the streets of Buffalo have come alive each December with twinkling lights, festive floats, and the sound of holiday cheer. Our annual Christmas Parade has been a cornerstone of community life for over 50 years, bringing together families, businesses, schools, and nonprofits in a celebration that embodies the very spirit of the season.

This year's parade theme is "Christmas Around the World."

A Legacy of Togetherness

What began as a small-town gathering has grown into one of Buffalo’s most cherished traditions. For more than 50 years, generations of families have bundled up, braving the cold December weather, to watch the parade — with grandparents now sharing the magic with their grandchildren.

Over the years, the parade has flourished, with as many as 80 entries in recent seasons. Local businesses, student groups from Dallas County R-1 schools, and organizations from across the region — including the Shriners, car clubs, and neighboring schools — all come together to showcase their holiday spirit.  Each entry reflects the timeless spirit of Christmas, reminding us that the parade is more than a spectacle — it’s Buffalo’s way of sharing joy, hope, and goodwill.

Whether you’re a local business showcasing holiday spirit, a student group marching with pride, or a community organization bringing creativity to the streets, we welcome your participation.

All entries must be received with payment by December 1st.

Due to space limitations, late entries will NOT be accepted. This includes those that show up on the day of the parade.

 We will run the traditional parade route:

South on Maple Street to the square, around the square, and then back down Poplar Street.

Parade Line-up will be at Petit Jean, Superior Gearbox, and the DAV. Please watch our Facebook event for all parade updates.  The line-up will be posted on Facebook before the day of the parade.
