BUSINESS BUILDERS kicks off in January 2024

ALL PCC SBDC PROGRAMS ARE VIRTUAL VIA ZOOM

BUSINESS BUILDERS
Business Builders is new and improved with a shift to a 12-week model that features 4 weeks of industry-specific training for retailers, service providers, food businesses, and manufacturers. In conjunction with 8 weeks of foundational business training, this new model gives our clients a deeper understanding of their unique business sector, and the comprehensive knowledge and confidence our clients need to build a business that lasts.

Business Builders is offered three times a year: 

WINTER 2024 starts Thursday, January 18 from 9am-12pm; 12 weekly sessions ending 4/4/24. 

SPRING 2024 starts Monday, April 1 from 4pm-7pm; 12 weekly sessions ending 6/24/24. 

FALL 2024 starts Wednesday, September 18 from 1pm-4pm; 12 weekly sessions ending on 12/11/2024 (skipping 11/27/24 for Thanksgiving week).

Eight Core Sessions plus four Industry Specialty sessions:

• Retail Industry
• Manufacturing Industry (starting Spring 2024)
• Service Industry
• Restaurant Industry

Tuition for this program is $899, with the business owner paying $99 with City of Hillsboro sponsored tuition. 

ADVANCED SMALL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (SBM) 

Offered once a year (Winter starts first of February each year).

Starts February 7, 2024, 10 monthly sessions, from 4pm-7pm. 

Tuition for this program is $1,995, with the business owner paying $99 with City of Hillsboro sponsored tuition. 

GETTING YOUR RECIPE TO MARKET (GYRM)

Offered twice a year (Spring: April start; Fall: late Sept or early October start).

Starts Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 5pm-8pm; 12 weekly sessions.

Tuition for this program is $1,995, with the business owner paying $99 with City of Hillsboro sponsored tuition. 

GYRM Requirements:

1) Have a complete recipe (weighed ingredients, written steps, and it comes out consistent each time it is made).  

2) Have not yet sold to retailers and have not completed packaging.

3) Know what is unique about your product and what problem it solves.

BUYING & SELLING OUTSIDE THE U.S. 

Offered twice a year (Spring: April start: Fall: late Sept or early October start).

BUSINESS DESIGN SERIES 

Offered 8-9 times a year (approximately every 6 weeks).

Starts Tuesday, January 16, from 3-5pm; 4 weekly sessions ending 2/6/2024. Also starts Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 3-5pm; 4 weekly sessions ending 3/20/2024. 

Tuition for this program is $125, with the business owner paying $25 with City of Hillsboro sponsored tuition.
