Jazz Vespers @ St. John's Church, Ashfield

For the first time jazz vespers will be held at St. John's Church in Ashfield, MA.

A vesper is an evening of contemplative prayer, with jazz vespers combining readings of the liturgy and music.

Three local musicians will play music while select passages are read:

• Barry Kohn (piano)
• Michael Dunning (bass)
• Sturgis Cunningham (drums)

It being All Saints Day, readings and music will focus on the spirit of the Christian holiday.

Free. Held in the church sanctuary.
