A Beautiful Beginning for Haywood County
The Brownsville Haywood County Chamber of Commerce proudly celebrated Earth Day 2026 with the official launch of Keep Haywood County Tennessee Beautiful at the Boys & Girls Club of Brownsville. Community members, local leaders, businesses, educators, volunteers, and partners gathered together for an afternoon focused on environmental stewardship, beautification, and community engagement.
The event marked the beginning of a countywide initiative dedicated to creating a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful Haywood County for future generations.
Special thanks were extended to Ford Truck Plant and Ford Community Relations for their generous support and investment in launching the program and helping bring this vision to life.
Official Launch & Ribbon Cutting
The celebration officially began with welcoming remarks from community leaders and representatives from Ford Truck Tennessee Plant/Ford Community Relations and Keep Tennessee Beautiful. Attendees learned more about the mission and future goals of Keep Haywood County Tennessee Beautiful, including community cleanups, educational outreach, beautification projects, recycling awareness, and environmental partnerships.
The afternoon’s ribbon cutting ceremony symbolized a new chapter for Haywood County — one centered on community pride, environmental responsibility, and collaboration.

The launch highlighted the power of partnership across Haywood County. Representatives from local government, education, nonprofits, economic development, and community organizations came together in support of the new initiative.

Ford’s Generous Support Fuels the Mission
A major highlight of the celebration was the unveiling of the official Keep Haywood County Tennessee Beautiful vehicle generously provided through the support of Ford Tennessee Truck Plant/Ford Community Relations.
This generous gift will help support cleanup projects, beautification initiatives, volunteer efforts, and outreach activities throughout the county. The Chamber sincerely thanks Ford for investing in the future of Haywood County and helping launch this important community initiative.
Vendors & Community Resources
Local organizations and vendors participated throughout the event by sharing resources, information, and activities focused on health, sustainability, environmental awareness, and community involvement.

Celebrating Earth Day with Our Youth
One of the most memorable moments of the day was the Earth Day children’s parade featuring students proudly carrying handmade signs promoting recycling, environmental care, and community pride.
