Then and Now #15 - Winkelmeyer-Piper Building

📍 The Winkelmeyer Building, located at 455 Locust Street 🏢, built in 1911 🏗️ (replacing a hotel previously on the lot 🛏️) is a three-story two-part commercial block building 🧱 that originally housed a variety of different businesses 🛍️ for the first three decades of its existence ⌛. In 1945 Winkelmeyer Furniture 🪑 began operating out of the building and continued operations until the early 2000s 📆. Since then, a handful of different businesses and organizations 🤝 have occupied parts of the building. The R Bar 🍸 currently operates out of the building
