Out of the Darkenss North Iowa Walk Event

The “Out of the Darkness North Iowa Walk,” is Saturday, September 12th, at the Mason City High School Softball Fields.  This non-competitive walk spans 1 to 3 miles and is hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to raise awareness and funds for mental health and suicide prevention.

Participants will receive complimentary honor beads to walk in memory of loved ones or in support of the cause.  The event also features resources tables, a pinwheel-naming activity, and a space to honor those affected by suicide. 

Check-in begins at 9 AM, and the opening ceremony and walk start at 10 AM.
