Iowa Memorial Returns to Veteran Stand Down Event

Hosted by “Remember the Fallen,” all Veterans are invited to attend this free resource event connecting them with local services, including VA benefits, healthcare, housing assistance, employment resources, legal aid, food, clothing, and other community support.  Community organizations are on hand to provide information, answer questions and help veterans access the resources they deserve.  This is a great opportunity to learn about programs available and connect with fellow veterans and community partners.

Event is at the North Iowa Events Center on Saturday, September 26th, from 8 AM to 5 PM. 

There is an Opening Ceremony at 10 AM and a Closing Ceremony at 4 PM.

BONUS:  North Iowa-Southern Minnesota Veteran Stand Down Presents, “The Moving Wall – Vietnam Wall Replica.”  Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, September 25th thru September 28th, Mason City will have the honor of hosting “The Moving Wall.”  This power memorial carries the names of more than 58,000 American service members who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War and has traveled the nation since 1984, bringing remembrance, healing, and education to communities across America.
