Tri-District Soccer Field Project Nears Completion

Update from Superintendent Rob Miller

The Tri-District Soccer Field project is moving quickly toward completion, and excitement continues to build across the East Alton-Wood River, Wood River-Hartford, and East Alton school communities.

The Bermuda grass surface is now approximately 95% grown in, producing a lush, healthy, and durable playing field. The surface is expected to provide athletes with a safe and outstanding place to compete for many years to come.

Several major features are already in place. A brand-new scoreboard has been installed and is ready for game-day action. Installation of the combination soccer goal and football goal post system is underway, handled by Mike Moxey and his crew.

The finishing touches will focus on enhancing the spectator experience. Bleachers will be placed along the sidelines to give fans a comfortable place to enjoy the games and support their teams.

Once complete, the facility will serve as the new home for both Oiler Soccer and Junior Football League (JFL), providing a shared community resource that will benefit athletes, families, and fans throughout the region.
