Asst. Fire Chief Waldrop new Operations Manager for Ambulance Service of Lexington

We are proud to announce that James “Teddy” Waldrop, Assistant Chief of the Brownsville Fire Department, has been appointed as the new Operations Manager for Ambulance Services of Lexington at our City of Brownsville EMS location, effective July 17, 2025.

Waldrop will continue to serve as Assistant Fire Chief with the Brownsville Fire Department. He is also retiring from Haywood County EMS and will bring his extensive experience to his new role with Ambulance Services of Lexington.

With Waldrop’s leadership, the City of Brownsville EMS will now operate three units, further strengthening our ability to respond to residents’ needs.
