The City of Brownsville will receive sealed bids for the rehabilitation and lead based paint mitigation of 405 N. Washington Avenue until 2:00 PM, CST, on April 9, 2026. All bids will be opened at that time. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the words "2023 HOME GRANT – Rehabilitation" on the outside envelope.

If mailed, the sealed envelope must be included in another envelope and addressed accordingly:

ALL SEALED ENVELOPES MUST CONTAIN A COPY OF YOUR CURRENT TENNESSEE CONTRACTOR’S LICENSE AND CLASSIFICATION AND INSURANCE CERTIFICATE.

The Bid Package (Work Write Up and Pictures can be picked up at City Hall between the hours of 8 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday or by contacting Tom Skehan by emailing him at tskehan@swtdd.org. Direct all bid questions to Tom Skehan until 4 PM April 6, 2026.

The City of Brownsville reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the bid opening. Bid awarded to the lowest most responsive bidder.
