Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in Training (OIT)

Responsibilities include but not limited to assist with the operation, monitoring, and maintaining of wastewater treatment facility and all its processes. Must perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring, and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process.  Perform maintenance and repair of physical plant.

Assist in the performance of regular and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment and machinery.  Must maintain open communications with the WWTP Operator regarding treatment processes.

Regular attendance is essential for this job and the position may involve shift work, work on holidays, weekends, and overtime. Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:

Willingness to obtain Class I Wastewater License and work towards Class II & III Wastewater License as well.

CDL

Basic Computer knowledge

Salary based on experience and qualifications.
