Now Is the Time to Secure Your 2026 Sponsorship

As we close out a successful year, we want to thank our members, investors, and partners for their continued support of the De Soto Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council. Your investment, involvement, and engagement have helped strengthen our business community and build strong momentum heading into 2026.

A Year of Connection, Consistency, and Growth

In 2025, our focus was clear: deliver consistent, high-value programming that supports businesses at every stage. Over the course of the year, we hosted nearly 50 events, including Business Coffees, After Hours, Breakfasts, Luncheons, Ribbon Cuttings, our Annual Dinner, and Golf Tournaments. Each event was designed to help members connect with one another, grow professionally, and stay informed about what’s happening in De Soto.

These events don’t happen by chance—they are made possible through strong sponsorship support. Sponsors play a critical role in ensuring that our programming remains accessible, impactful, and relevant for our business community.

Enhancing the Member Experience

Behind the scenes, 2025 was also a year of meaningful progress. To better serve our members, we made several key improvements, including:

  • Launching a new website and membership database to streamline communication and access to resources

  • Implementing updated policies and procedures to strengthen operations and enhance the member experience

  • Developing a strong Economic Development Advisory Council with committees focused on Workforce Development, Legislative Affairs, Marketing, and Transportation

  • Introducing our Ambassador Program to welcome, support, and engage members more intentionally

These enhancements were made with one goal in mind: creating a stronger, more connected Chamber that delivers real value to its members.

Economic Development Momentum

This year also brought exciting progress on the economic development front. Major announcements and milestones included:

  • A multi-phase data center campus at the Flint Commerce Center

  • The largest Animal Health expansion project in the world by Merck Animal Health

  • The Geiger Ready Mix permanent batch plant facility

  • Continued growth in new housing developments

  • The grand opening of the Panasonic Energy plant

These projects represent long-term investment in De Soto’s future and reinforce why now is the time for businesses to align themselves with the Chamber and EDC through sponsorship and involvement.

Leadership for the Year Ahead

Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited to welcome five new Board Members:
Kali Gray (Skylight Pilates), Kevin Honomichl (BHC), Jay Marquette (Marquette Physical Therapy), Cory Imhoff (HDR) and Christina Rose (Happy Campers De Soto Montessori School).

We are also pleased to welcome Dustin Baker with Alcove Development as our incoming Chair of the Board and look forward to his leadership in the year ahead.

Strong leadership, paired with engaged members and sponsors, positions our organization for continued success.

Looking Ahead to 2026

We are proud of what we accomplished together in 2025 and even more excited about the opportunities ahead. Sponsorship is more than marketing—it’s a partnership that fuels connection, advocacy, and growth across our community.

We encourage you to review the 2026 Membership & Engagement Packet and secure your sponsorship now. If you have questions or would like to discuss the best opportunities for your business, please reach out to our office.

Thank you for being an essential part of the De Soto Chamber and EDC. We look forward to continuing our partnership in the year to come.
