City Council Supports Data Center at Flint Commerce Center

At the August 21st De Soto City Council meeting the council unanimously approved a Development Agreement with Mount Sunflower, LLC and a Resolution of Intent to use IRB-based incentives to support a multi-phase data center campus at the Flint Commerce Center (northwest corner of Edgerton Road & 103rd Street).

Some of the highlights of the project are:

  • Multi-billion dollar investment in De Soto
  • No taxpayer funding or City debt used—development pays for development
  • New City revenue via franchise fees and PILOTs; full property taxes after abatements
  • 100% Developer-paid upgrades to water, wastewater, and utility systems

Learn more about this project on the City of De Soto’s Data Center Project webpage.
