October Luncheon Spotlights Marquette Physical Therapy

Members of the De Soto Chamber of Commerce & EDC gathered October 14 in the City Hall Conference Room for a luncheon sponsored by Marquette Physical Therapy, with lunch catered by Pizza Hut.

Owner Jay Marquette, joined by team members Emily, Molly, and Phil, shared what patients can expect at their clinic, highlighting their personalized approach to care and the specialties and treatment techniques they offer.

One-on-One Care Tailored to Each Patient

At Marquette Physical Therapy, patients receive individualized, 45-minute treatment sessions in private treatment rooms. Care is provided directly by physical therapists, without the use of technicians or physical therapist assistants. The team explained that this approach is offered by relatively few clinics in the Kansas City area.

Their goal is to help patients recover and return to the activities that matter to them, from daily routines and work to recreation and competitive sports.

Marquette Physical Therapy’s specialties include:

  • Rehabilitation before and after surgery to support preparation and recovery.

  • Sports rehabilitation to help patients return to athletic activities.

  • Foot and ankle care and hand therapy to address injuries and conditions affecting these areas.

  • Vestibular rehabilitation for balance and dizziness concerns.

  • Pelvic health therapy to address pelvic floor concerns.

  • Manual therapy, using hands-on treatment as part of patient care.

The team also introduced treatment techniques available at the clinic, including dry needling, blood flow restriction, the Graston Technique, shockwave therapy, traction, cold laser, ultrasound therapy, Kinesio taping, and cupping.

Pizza Hut Shares Its Commitment to Community

Attendees enjoyed pizza, salad, and sandwiches catered by Pizza Hut. Owner Jarett Staab shared his commitment to giving back to the community, including supporting local schools through their PTO groups.

Jarett also highlighted Pizza Hut’s welcoming dining room and separate backroom event space, offering options for a meal with family and friends or a group gathering.

The luncheon provided time for members to connect, learn more about local businesses, and enjoy door prizes.

Thank you to Jay, Emily, Molly, and Phil for sharing their expertise and sponsoring the luncheon, and to Jarett and Pizza Hut for providing lunch. We appreciate your continued support of the De Soto Chamber of Commerce & EDC and our community!
