Big Catches and Big Smiles at the Blairstown Fishing Derby!

The community came together for a memorable day at our Fishing Derby held at Footbridge Park, where families and outdoor enthusiasts of all ages enjoyed beautiful weather, great fishing, and time together in the heart of our community.

This year’s event welcomed 115 participants, with our youngest angler just 4 years old — a wonderful reminder that the derby truly brought generations together. One of the day’s biggest highlights was the "Best in Paulins Kill" catch - an impressive 22 1/2" rainbow trout!

Families gathered along the water throughout the day to fish, connect, and enjoy the outdoors, helping make the derby a fun and welcoming experience for everyone involved.

The event was made possible through the hard work and dedication of our incredible volunteers and the generous support of our sponsors, whose contributions helped create a successful community event for all to enjoy.
