Chamber Invites Community to Halloween Trunk or Treat

Local businesses, organizations, groups, families and individuals are invited to participate by decorating a vehicle trunk, tailgate or tent and handing out candy or other goodies to local trunk-or-treaters. Whether your setup is simple and festive or elaborately decorated, the Chamber would love to have you participate. The goal is to bring together local businesses, organizations and community members to create a fun, family-friendly Halloween experience for Emmetsburg-area children.

Those interested in hosting a trunk or tent at the event can contact the Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce at 712-852-2283 or click here to sign up. Set-up will be from 2:30 to 3:45 PM. Hosts must bring their own candy or treats unless other arrangements have been made with the Chamber. Prizes will be awarded to the hosts with the best decorated trunk and the best costume. 

Can't commit to decorating a trunk, but willing to donate candy instead? Please contact the Chamber. All donations are appreciated!

Community members are invited to bring their kiddos out to the fairgrounds between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. to make their way through the decorated trunks and enjoy an afternoon of Halloween fun. Emmetsburg’s traditional house-to-house trick-or-treating will also take place as usual from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Halloween, giving families the opportunity to enjoy both the Community Trunk or Treat and neighborhood trick-or-treating.
