Welcome New Member Emmetsburg Municipal Band

Help us in welcoming one of our newest members, the Emmetsburg Municipal Band! Now entering its 104th year, the Emmetsburg Municipal Band is a nonprofit music organization that brings generations of musicians together to share the joy of live music with our community. With members ranging in age from 12 to 99, the band includes musicians of all ages, backgrounds, and instruments.

Each year, the band’s season begins the first Tuesday after Memorial Day with practice held in the Emmetsburg High School band room. Municipal band concerts are held on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM in Soper Park from Memorial Day through the 4th of July. In the event of rain or heavy wind, concerts are moved to the high school auditorium.

We encourage everyone to come out and support this wonderful community tradition. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, invite your family and friends, and enjoy an evening of live music in the park. On June 18 and June 25, food trucks and vendors will join the band for Music & Market in the Park, so you can shop, eat, and enjoy some good tunes!
