Lee County Tourism is partnering with Locable to host a free, hands-on community training designed to help local businesses and nonprofits make the most of the new tourism website tools.

This workshop will walk participants step by step through:

- Claiming and managing a free Locable listing

- Adding events and updates that automatically appear on the tourism website

- Understanding how Google and search tools find your business

- Using the “15 Minutes or Less” marketing system to boost visibility with minimal effort

- Improving online presence with photos, descriptions, and links

All local businesses, short term rentals, churches, clubs, and nonprofit organizations are encouraged to attend. Everyone can have a free listing! 

The new tourism website features a fresh layout and expanded tools including a Community Calendar, attraction directories, and stories that highlight the people and places of Beattyville and Lee County. Through this partnership, content entered by participating groups automatically syncs to the tourism website and to Google, helping listings appear when people search for things to do in the area.

These tools make it easier for customers to find hours, directions, events, menus, promotions, and updates without spending hours on marketing.

Bring your laptop if attending in person and set up your listing during the session using guided, step-by-step instructions.

Middle Fork Stables – Beginner Horse Day Camp
If you’re looking for a confidence-building outdoor experience for your child this spring, Middle Fork Stables is offering a Beginner Horse Day Camp designed especially for kids ages 8–12 who are new to horses or just starting to ride.

This two-day camp focuses on safety, hands-on learning, and fun in a supportive, low-pressure environment. No prior horse experience is needed.

Beattyville Country Club – Weekly Wednesday Night Scrambles

Beattyville Country Club is also using the site to promote weekly Wednesday night golf scrambles, giving visitors and locals alike something consistent to plan around during their stay.

Recurring events like this automatically populate the tourism calendar, helping overnight guests discover things to do while they’re in Lee County.
