Desert Tromp | Off-Road Adventure & Poker Run

Get ready to kick up some dust at the 12th Annual Desert Tromp!

Desert Tromp returns November 13 and 14 for two days of off-road adventure in the beautiful desert near Topock, all while supporting the Golden Shores Fire Department Auxiliary. Both Friday and Saturday activities begin at 9 a.m.

Friday, November 13, brings the Jeep & Truck Fun Run, with a 35-mile desert course and prizes along the way.

On Saturday, November 14, the Off-Road Poker Run takes over with a 40-mile desert course. Participants will make their way to five sponsored poker stops to collect chips, snacks, beverages and goodies before returning to base camp. The course is designed for everyone from novice to experienced off-roaders. 

The weekend also includes dry camping, food, live music, s’mores, campfires and prizes. Poker Run prizes include $1,000 for first place, $500 for second and $250 for third. 

Base camp is located at I-40 Exit 2 near Topock.

Proceeds from Desert Tromp benefit the Golden Shores Fire Department Auxiliary.
