Boat Parade Night on the Bullhead Belle

Every December, the Colorado River turns into a ribbon of lights. Boats glide across the water in a bright holiday procession as families settle in to watch. Christmas on the Colorado, presented by the Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce, returns on Saturday, December 20, and has quickly become one of the most loved holiday traditions in Bullhead City.

And every year, the very best place to watch it is the Bullhead Belle.

Where the River Meets Magic

The Belle sits right on the water inside Community Park, close enough that you can hear the boats before you see them. It is already glowing with more than 100,000 lights and holiday decorations, but on parade night it becomes something even more special. It is warm, lively, and full of the kind of holiday energy that makes people smile before they even step onboard.

This year, the Belle will be buzzing well before the parade begins. Whiptail will be playing live from one in the afternoon until five. As the sun sinks and the first decorated boats appear on the river, Max Say Shun will continue the celebration from five to seven.

Everything on the Belle feels designed to bring people together. Snow will drift through the air. The hot chocolate and coffee bar will stay busy as people settle in for the show. Along with the baked potato and soup bar, guests can enjoy nachos and s'mores pretzel bites. Santa will be there too, adding just a little more wonder to an already bright night.

A Stop at the Christmas Market

Before the parade begins, the Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce will host an indoor Christmas market at four in the afternoon. It is a cheerful place to wander through on the way to the river and a nice chance to pick up a gift before heading to the Belle for the evening.

When the Parade Reaches the Belle

The boat parade starts at five, moving south along the Colorado River and gliding in front of the Bullhead Belle. From the deck, you feel close to the experience in a way that is hard to describe. The colors seem brighter. The music feels closer. The moment lingers long after the boats pass by.

It is one of the reasons the Belle is a favorite place to watch the parade. The river feels alive all around you, and the holiday atmosphere onboard makes everything feel just a little more magical.
