Exploring Lake Mohave from Bullhead City

Start in Bullhead City and you are only minutes from the water. Drive to Katherine Landing for easy access to the marina, bright blue views, and relaxed shoreline time. It is the best way to turn a free morning or whole weekend into time on the lake.

Lake Mohave stretches roughly 67 miles between Davis Dam and Hoover Dam. It roughly covers 28,000 surface acres with about 309 miles of shoreline. Water temperatures range from the mid 40's in winter to the mid-80's in summer, which is why people swim and boat here almost year-round.

Boating Basics and Safety

Bring a properly fitted life jacket for every person on board and make sure children wear one while the vessel is underway. Check weather and wind before you launch and keep an eye on conditions through the day. There are no lifeguards, so swim near friends and stay within your comfort level. Help protect the lake by draining, and drying boats and gear since quagga mussels are present. Carry plenty of drinking water, sun protection, and a charged phone or radio. Park entrance fees and vessel fees apply, so review current details before you go.
