Made with Heart: Vendors of the Bullhead City Farmers Market

There is always a story behind the booths at the Bullhead City Farmers Market, presented by Arrowhead Credit Union and Clayton Homes. As you weave your way through vendors, you may find yourself wondering how each idea came to life, what inspired it, where it started and who is behind it. 

Before the next Farmers Market in February, we wanted to take a moment to share a few of those stories and introduce you to the creatives who bring the market to life.

First, meet Sheila Wyatt, who turned her love of turquoise into beautiful jewelry after retiring as a local schoolteacher.  

For some, the love of family shapes their craft. The recipe for Dorothy's Butter Brittle has been passed down through four generations. While they won't let you in on their secret recipe, they are happy to share the love that goes into every batch of their delicious brittle.

You can also spot the markings of family on the unique 3D designs created by Gary Jones. As he walked me through his shop, Hero 3d Prints, you could feel his pride as he pointed out the details his daughter adds to some of the pieces. You can see her touch in hand-painted eyes and delicate markings on these creations, which he says is part of what makes his work stand out from the rest.

As we look ahead to the next Farmers Market, we will continue sharing more of the stories behind the vendors who make it special. After all, love is at the heart of our February market.

Cupids Corner Farmers Market will be held on Saturday, February 7, at Community Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market will feature over 80 vendors, with free parking and family-friendly activities including bounce houses, crafts, face painting with Cupid Bravo and live music by Max Say Shun.
