Workforce Housing in York County: Insights and Next Steps

Across the region, one topic continues to come up in conversations among employers, community leaders, and residents alike: housing. As the region grows and evolves, finding housing that is attainable for the local workforce has become an increasingly important part of the broader economic picture.

The Workforce Housing Coalition of the Greater Seacoast invited members of the chamber to come together on Wednesday for an open conversation about workforce housing in York County. The event offered an opportunity to step back, look at the big picture, and talk about housing challenges and ways to adapt to the shifting needs of the community.

The gathering was designed to create space for a thoughtful, collaborative discussion. Participants had the chance to explore the housing landscape in York County, hear perspectives from others in the community, and consider ideas that may help support both residents and the local workforce moving forward.
