Let's Talk Fresh Food in Hesston
a Community Town-Hall Event
Description
Hesston Fresh Food Market Town Hall
Wednesday, September 16 | 6:30 to 8:00 pm
Hesston High School Performing Arts Center, 200 North Ridge Road
Hesston has been without a grocery store since 2018. With funding from the Kansas Healthy Food Initiative, we are researching whether a fresh food market could work here: whether people would use one, whether local growers could supply it, and whether it could pay for itself.
This is a question, not a promise. The grant funds research, not construction. No decision has been made, and whatever we learn gets published for the community to decide on.
Please RSVP so we can plan the room. If you have a question you would like addressed that evening, you can include it with your online RSVP.
Hosted by United Way of Harvey and Marion Counties and the Healthy Harvey Coalition, with the Hesston Chamber of Commerce, Kansas Horizon Foundation, and the Harvey County Food and Farm Council.
