Celebrating our American Story

In 1920, Langley became one of the first towns in the United States to elect an all-woman city administration. Shortly after women gained the right to vote nationally with the 19th amendment.  Langley elected a female mayor, Helen Coe, and an all-woman city council-only the second such instance in the country at that time.
