Statesville Bookbag Giveaway

The City of Statesville invites families to the annual Statesville Bookbag Giveaway, a community event dedicated to helping local students start the new school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

Thanks to the generosity of community members, local businesses, civic organizations, and volunteers, 1,500 backpacks filled with essential school supplies will be distributed to students while supplies last.

The Bookbag Giveaway takes place during the Statesville Heritage Festival, giving families the opportunity to enjoy a day filled with history, culture, live entertainment, exhibits, food, and family-friendly activities while preparing for the upcoming school year.

Help Fill the Backpacks

The Bookbag Giveaway is made possible through the annual Statesville School Supply Drive. Community members are invited to donate new school supplies to help ensure every backpack is filled with the essentials students need for a successful school year.
