PHS Golden Reunion Brings Alumni Home to Parsons
Parsons welcomed more than 250 PHS alumni back home over the weekend for the 2026 PHS Golden Reunion, celebrating the Classes of 1976 and earlier.
The two-day reunion included plenty of opportunities to reconnect, with a Friday meet and greet at Labette Community College, dinners at VFW Post 704, Saturday morning coffee and donuts, and tours of LCC and Parsons Middle School. Class photos and music wrapped up the weekend Saturday night.
But the reunion went well beyond the scheduled events. Classes held their own mini-reunions at Kitchen Pass, alumni spent Saturday strolling downtown and enjoying PK Art Fest, and visitors filled local hotels and bed and breakfasts. It was a great weekend for catching up with old friends while also seeing what is happening in Parsons today.
Organizer Amy Reynolds, PHS Class of 1994, said more than 250 alumni attended events throughout the weekend. After 20 years of helping bring alumni home, Reynolds also announced that this will be her final year serving as event coordinator.
“It has been such a privilege to help keep this tradition going and welcome PHS alumni back home each year,” Reynolds said. “Now we are looking for someone with a passion for Parsons and PHS who wants to step in and help carry the Golden Reunion tradition forward.”
