The Parsons Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 Holiday Royalty Prince & Princess Contest! Children in Pre-K through 3rd grade are invited to participate in this annual holiday tradition and have the opportunity to represent Parsons during the Christmas Parade.

To enter, parents or guardians must complete an entry form and submit a wallet-sized photo of their child to the Parsons Chamber of Commerce, 506 Main Street, by 2 PM on Friday, October 23 October 29, 2026. Each contestant will need to find a Parsons business willing to display their voting container. Businesses may host one Prince and one Princess contestant, with permission from the business owner or manager. Click here to download entry form.

Voting begins Monday, November 2, when donation containers will be placed at participating businesses throughout Parsons. Each penny donated counts as one vote, and voting continues through Monday, November 30. The Prince and Princess will be announced on December 1. All donations help cover expenses associated with the annual Christmas Parade, including insurance, advertising, and other event costs.

The winning Prince and Princess will have the honor of riding in the Christmas Parade in a vehicle provided by a local car lot. Each winner will also receive a family membership to Curious Minds Discovery Zone. All candidates will receive a day pass to Curious Minds Discovery Zone.

Don't miss the opportunity to be part of this fun holiday tradition! Entry forms and photos must be submitted by October 23, and late entries will not be accepted. For more information, contact the Parsons Area Chamber of Commerce at 620-421-6500.
