Meet the Chamber Board: Spence Allison

Spence Allison is a dedicated educator and community leader serving as the Principal of Meadow View Grade School. With 15 years of experience in education, he is dedicated to helping every student learn through strong engagement, positive relationships, and a culture built on integrity and support.

A graduate of Labette County High School in 2007, Spence continued his education at Pittsburg State University, earning his Bachelor’s degree in 2010 and District Level Certification in 2022, and later completed his Master’s degree at Emporia State University in 2016.

Spence began his career in education teaching first grade at St. Patrick Catholic School for two years before joining USD 506 Labette County District Schools, where he taught third grade for seven years while also serving as the boys tennis coach for Labette County High School. Most recently, he spent six years as the principal at Bartlett Grade School before transitioning to his current leadership role at Meadow View Grade School, where he remains committed to creating a safe, supportive environment that challenges students and prepares them for success both locally and globally.

As a member of the Parsons Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Spence proudly represents USD 506 and advocates for strong partnerships between local schools, businesses, and community organizations. He believes collaboration is essential to the continued growth and prosperity of Parsons and Labette County.

Outside of his professional and community involvement, Spence enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, who also works for USD 506, and working with family on their small farm south of Parsons.
