Meet the Chamber Board: Spence Allison
Spence Allison is a dedicated educator and community leader serving as Principal of Bartlett Grade School for six years and looking forward to serving as the Principal of Meadow View Grade School this upcoming year. A graduate of Labette County High School in 2007, Spence continued his education at Pittsburg State University earning his Bachelor’s degree in 2010 and District Level Certification in 2022, and later completed his Master’s degree at Emporia State University in 2016.
Spence began his career in education teaching first grade at St. Patrick Catholic School for two years before joining USD 506 Labette County District Schools, where he taught third grade for seven years. During that time, he also served as the boys tennis coach for Labette County. He has spent the past six years as principal at Bartlett Grade School, where he is committed to challenging students and preparing them for success both locally and globally.
As a member of the Parsons Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Spence proudly represents USD 506 and advocates for strong partnerships between local schools, businesses, and community organizations. He believes collaboration is essential to the continued growth and prosperity of Parsons and Labette County.
Outside of his professional and community involvement, Spence enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, who also works for USD 506, and working on their family on their small farm south of Parsons.
