Member of the Day: SKIL Resource Center

For more than 30 years, SKIL Resource Center has been empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently, make their own choices, and fully participate in their communities. As a consumer-driven, nonprofit organization headquartered in Parsons, SKIL provides a wide range of services and resources designed to promote independence and improve quality of life. 

From independent living services and advocacy to assistive technology, peer support, skills training, and personal assistance programs, SKIL is dedicated to helping people of all ages achieve their goals and maintain their independence. Their team works closely with individuals and families throughout Southeast Kansas, offering compassionate support and practical solutions that make a lasting impact.

Beyond the services they provide, SKIL is an important employer and community partner, helping create a more accessible and inclusive Southeast Kansas through education, outreach, and advocacy. Their commitment to empowering others reflects the spirit of service and collaboration that strengthens our region.
