Beat the Boredom: Your Guide to a Jam-Packed Week at Parsons Public Library

Looking for some fantastic ways to keep the whole family active and entertained this week? Parsons Public Library has you covered from Monday, July 20 to Saturday, July 25 with an absolute jam-packed schedule of events. Kick off your week on Monday morning with a "Let's Move!" walk at Forest Park, or join in on family favorites like Line Dancing and Family Bingo later that evening. On top of the daily activities, the library is making sure local youth are well-fed by hosting free lunches for children 18 and younger every weekday—available at the library starting at 11:30 a.m. and at the Parsons Middle School Art Room starting at 12:00 p.m.

If you have creative kids or tech-savvy teens, there are plenty of specialized hands-on sessions to dive into. Mid-week highlights include a Make Your Own Book workshop on Tuesday and a Sun Catcher Craft on Wednesday afternoon. As the week winds down, Thursday features a "Let's STEAM!" session at 4:00 p.m. where kids ages 10–18 can experiment with different types of technology, followed by a Friday lineup featuring a Dinosaur Eye Magnet Craft, teen cooking, and a Crystal Mirror Craft for all ages. Be sure to check their website to register for events ahead of time, and don't miss out on all the free community fun!
