Beyond the Bookshelf: What’s Happening at Parsons Public Library July 27 - August 1st

Get ready to close out the month with a bang! Parsons Public Library is rolling out an action-packed schedule from Monday, July 27 to Saturday, August 1 that offers something for every age group. Mondays are starting off with high energy, featuring a morning "Let’s Move!" walk, evening Line Dancing, and a 6:00 p.m. Nerf Gun War for teens (ages 10–18, waivers required!). Mid-week brings plenty of whimsical fun, including two separate sessions of "Tea with T-Rex" for kids ages 3–9 on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by creative crafts like Clay Tablets and Hydro Dipping. Plus, free weekday lunches for kids 18 and under will continue at both the library and Parsons Middle School!

The real grand finale happens as the week winds down with the library’s End of Summer Reading celebrations! On Friday morning at 10:00 a.m., kids can cool off with a visit from a Fire Truck and Foam Machine—just remember to bring a towel because you will get wet. The summer wraps up in style Friday evening with a Pizza Party for ages 10–18 at 4:00 p.m., followed by an all-ages End of Summer Reading Pool Party at the Parsons Municipal Pool at 6:00 p.m.
