Cool Things Start with Community Support

Outsider’s Tacos & More owner J.R. Keene is rallying the community to help protect Parsons Middle School football players by raising funds to purchase guardian caps for the team.

The team is in need of 40 guardian caps at $75 each, for a total goal of $3,000. Guardian caps are padded helmet covers designed to provide an additional layer of protection during football practices. With school budgets already stretched, Keene is asking local businesses, organizations, and community members to consider helping with the cost.

Community involvement is nothing new for Keene and Outsider’s Tacos & More. Outsider’s was named the 2024 Parsons Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year, recognizing the business and its commitment to the Parsons community. This latest effort is another example of a local business stepping up when it sees a need.
