Kansas Author Amanda Wen Coming to Parsons for PK Art Fest
Book lovers will have another reason to spend the day downtown during PK Art Fest on Saturday, October 3, as Kansas author Amanda Wen makes a special appearance at The Mustard Seed, 119 S. 18th Street.
The Mustard Seed is celebrating its 35th anniversary during Art Fest, with activities planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wen will be featured at the store from 12:30 to 3 p.m., giving festival-goers the opportunity to meet an award-winning Kansas author while exploring everything happening throughout downtown Parsons that day.
Wen is a multi-award-winning author of inspirational split-time women’s fiction. Her honors include the ACFW Carol Award, Selah Award and Foreword Indies Gold Award, and she is a three-time Christy Award finalist. She is also an accomplished professional cellist and pianist who performs with orchestras, opera and musical theater companies.
The author visit is a great addition to PK Art Fest’s celebration of creativity in all its forms. Along with visual artists, makers, performers, demonstrations and other activities throughout the festival, Wen’s appearance brings the literary arts into the mix and gives visitors another unique experience to enjoy while spending the day downtown.
