Member of the Day: Deep Fission, Inc.

Deep Fission is bringing some exciting new investment and opportunity to our community with the development of its first Gravity™ Nuclear Reactor demonstration project at the Great Plains Industrial Park in Parsons. The company is developing small modular pressurized water reactors designed to operate underground and was selected to participate in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Reactor Pilot Program.

Deep Fission has also made it clear that being part of Parsons means being part of the community. From participating in local events to supporting area organizations and keeping residents informed as the project develops, we appreciate their commitment to building relationships locally. We want to thank them for investing in our community in so many ways, like being a bronze sponsor at the Chamber, purchasing some really great looking jerseys for the Parsons All Star baseball team, and providing a free chicken dinner for the last Music in the Park of the season. 

We’re glad to have Deep Fission as a member of the Parsons Area Chamber of Commerce and look forward to seeing what their investment means for Parsons and Labette County in the years ahead!
