Nominations Open for Veterans Day Parade Grand Marshal

The Parsons Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the Grand Marshal of the 2026 Parsons Veterans Day Parade, set for Wednesday, November 11 at 9 a.m. in Downtown Parsons.

The Veterans Day Parade is one of our community's opportunities to come together and recognize the men and women who have served our country. Each year, the Grand Marshal is given the honor of leading the parade and representing the veterans we gather to thank and celebrate.

Community members are encouraged to nominate a veteran they believe would be a fitting choice for this year's Grand Marshal. Nominees should have a connection to Parsons or Labette County and should reflect the values of service, leadership and commitment to others. In addition to military service, nominators are encouraged to share the veteran's story, including ways they have continued to serve or make a difference in their community.

Nominations should include the veteran's name, branch and years of military service, a brief description of their service, their connection to our area, and an explanation of why they should be selected as Grand Marshal.

The 2026 Parsons Veterans Day Parade will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11 in Downtown Parsons. All veterans are invited and encouraged to participate in the parade, whether they choose to walk, roll or ride.

Help us recognize someone who has served our country and deserves a special place of honor in this year's parade. Submissions must be submitted by noon on Friday, October 16th.
