Steamboat Springs Chamber's 4th of July Parade Registration is now open!

PARADE FLOAT ENTRY

Join us for one of the most anticipated events of the year, our Fourth of July and Cowboys' Roundup Days Celebration!

2026 THEME: 250/150: Celebrating our Pioneers, Patriots & Peaks

Registration will be open from 5/18 through 6/26. Registrations are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Parade Route: The parade will run along Lincoln Ave. between 6th and 10th St. Float staging will take place between 10th and 12th St. on Lincoln Ave., as well as on 10^th & 11^th side streets.  A staging map will be sent to floats prior to the event.

Check-In Times: Float check-in starts bright and early at 7:45 AM. To keep traffic running smoothly, all floats must be checked in by 8:45 AM. The parade kicks off promptly at 10 AM. 

No Distribution Policy: Floats are not allowed to hand out anything to spectators, including water, candy, or other promotional goods. No exceptions. This requirement complies with insurance requirements for parades that include livestock and aligns with sustainability practices that reduce single-use plastics and waste.

Judging: Judging will be based on the following categories:

1. Best Theme (best costume, decoration, overall theme, and spirit)
2. Best Group (best costume, decoration, overall theme, and spirit)
3. Best Commercial (political candidates and for-profit businesses)
4. Best Parade Theme (best use of this year’s parade theme)

Performances will be judged on originality, creativity, and spirit. Performances are limited to 1 minute. Use your imagination and have fun!!
