LebFest: A Free, Family-Friendly Celebration of Lebanon and the Upper Valley
There’s something special about a New England town green in September: the trees beginning to turn, neighbors running into one another, kids racing from one activity to the next, and the whole community gathered in one place. That’s exactly what you’ll find at LebFest, Lebanon, New Hampshire’s annual celebration of community, creativity, and fun.
On Saturday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Colburn Park will come alive with more than 100 vendors, live entertainment, food, games, crafts, and activities for all ages. Best of all, LebFest is completely free.
Presented by the Upper Valley Business Alliance and Lebanon Recreation, Arts & Parks, LebFest brings together local businesses, nonprofits, artists, schools, farms, and community organizations to showcase what makes Lebanon and the Upper Valley such a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Something for Everyone
This year’s festival is bigger than ever, with new experiences around every corner. Meet the friendly Shetland sheep from Five Sisters Farm, check out the plane built by Lebanon High School students in partnership with the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire, and enjoy performances from the Lebanon High School Marching Band and VoxStars.
Kids can get creative with face painting, crafts, games, balloon creations from Tycho’s Twisted Tubes, and an instrument petting zoo. There will be photo opportunities, puppies from the Upper Valley Humane Society, appearances by Marko the Magician, guided rides from Advanced Transit, and the chance to climb aboard a fire truck with the Lebanon Fire Department.
And, of course, there’s the LebFest Mac & Cheese Competition. Sample creations from local restaurants and vote for your favorite to help crown the winner of the coveted Mac & Cheese Bowl. Samples are free—but they don’t last forever, so arriving early is highly recommended!
A Community Celebration Made Possible by Community Support
An event this big doesn’t happen without a lot of help. We’re incredibly grateful to the sponsors who make it possible: Mascoma Bank, Dartmouth College, Rousseau & Ross, Service Credit Union, RestorEAZE, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, AVA Gallery, Systems Plus Computers, Ledyard Bank, Claremont Savings Bank, Simply Beeutiful Events, Blood’s Catering & Party Rentals, Co-op Food Stores, Valley News, Great Eastern Radio, and Casella.
Their support — and the participation of dozens of local organizations and volunteers — is what allows us to keep LebFest free and accessible to everyone.
So bring the family, invite your neighbors, and come celebrate Lebanon. LebFest is where the Upper Valley comes together — and there’s plenty of fun waiting for you on the Green.
