Aledo Main Street

History

Aledo Main Street was founded in 2001 and we are a proud affiliate of the Main Street America organization.  We are also a program of the National Main Street Center, Inc. and an affiliate of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Aledo Main Street is a a not-for-profit organization focused in beautifying our downtown through streetscape designs and historic preservation. We provide support for our local businesses by planning events that center Downtown Aledo as the hub in the community, providing connection for residents and visitors, as well as increasing activity in our Downtown. Aledo Main Street offers ribbon cuttings for new businesses, in addition to providing support for new and existing businesses through grants and planning. While we continue to work to revitalize Aledo's Historic Downtown, we seek to help businesses located anywhere in Aledo, Illinois.  We are happy to provide connections to tools, resources, and other entities to help small businesses achieve their goals.  Volunteers are the heart of our organization and we need volunteers to serve in all kinds of roles. If you are interested in helping Aledo through our efforts, please contact us and we will find the right places for you to serve.
