September 19 Friday Night Live Concert - True Blue Weekend

Backstage Brass to perform downtown September 19 downtown.

Backstage Brass is a 12-piece tribute to the greatest horn bands of all time. Get ready to enjoy a night of classic songs by legendary artists such as Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, Blood Sweat & Tears, Huey Lewis & the News, Toto, and Steely Dan, just to name a few — performed impeccably by some of the finest musicians in the Nashville area!

What to expect at a Friday Night Live Concert?

🕕 Music starts at 6:30 PM | FREE & Family-Friendly - Historic Public Square, Murfreesboro.

Bring your lawn chairs, grab a bite downtown, and get ready for an amazing night!

The East Square (Church Street) will be closed down to traffic. Please have all cars removed before 5:00 PM for concert attendees to safely sit in the streets.

Parking recommended in downtown parking garages (City Hall & County Judicial Building). The public square will be closed down after 5:00 PM. No parking around the square.

Food trucks will be available around the historic courthouse.

Concert ends at 9:30 PM.

MTSU Sponsors Friday Night Live - True Blue Weekend!

The September 19th Friday Night Live Concert is True Blue Weekend - MTSU's Homecoming weekend.

MTSU Athletics sponsors the September concert downtown to promote the MTSU Homecoming game on Saturday, September 20th.

MTSU cheerleaders will be present to rally the crowd before the band takes the stage at 6:15 PM. The MTSU dancers will perform during the concert's intermission, around 7:45 PM. Don't miss out on the MTSU Homecoming parade on Saturday morning at 11:00 AM, starting down East Main Street and ending on campus.
