Chamber of Commerce, We are an organization of business owners and entrepreneurs who work together to promote the interests and success of our local business community.
For the Dayton Chamber, the majority of our calls are local to Dayton however, we are housed inside the Rhea County Welcome Center. I do receive a fair amount of calls from outside our county and state.
The Dayton Chamber began in 1954 by a group of business men who wanted to prove a way to promote each other. At that time, the Dayton Chamber was only open to business men. It was a small organization and catered only to the Dayton area. How times have changed. The Dayton Chamber is not an organization that has both men and women business owners as well as business members from not only outside Dayton, but outside the county. Technology has to be the biggest change over the years. We now have the ability to promote our members nation wide and world wide with the internet.
