Description

Learn to fish with Naturalist Dora! Or maybe you already know the basics of fishing and want to learn a few more things! We will identify native Minnesota fish, practice casting, learn how to tie strong knots, rig a pole, and hopefully catch a fish, and release it! This program is for people above the age of 6 who want to learn how to fish. All are welcome. Meet at the Picnic shelter.

All materials will be provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather that day. Sunscreen and bug spray are encouraged. This program will be cancelled in the event of bad weather.

HOW TO SIGN UP:

There is a limited number of spaces for this program. Please email Naturalist Dora at dora.obrien@state.mn.us to secure your spot for this program. There will be more fishing program later in the summer in case you miss this one!

This program is free. A valid park pass is required for park entry. A daily park pass is $7, and an annual park pass is $35. It can be purchased at the park office or ahead of time online.
