Forbush Corners Celebrates New Mountain Bike Skills Loop & Drop Line
There’s even more to explore at Forbush Corners!
The community is invited to Forbush Corners on Sunday, September 27 to celebrate the completion of Phase 2 of its mountain bike trail development and the official opening of a new MTB Skills Loop and Drop Line.
The celebration begins at 12:00 PM, with food, refreshments, trail rides and an opportunity to experience the newest additions to the Forbush trail network.
At 1:00 PM, the Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce will join the Forbush Corners team for an official ribbon cutting recognizing the completion of the project.
The new Skills Loop was designed with beginner riders and kids in mind, giving newer mountain bikers a dedicated place to build confidence, practice cornering and develop their riding skills in a more approachable environment.
More experienced riders will have something new to tackle, too. The Drop Line provides intermediate and advanced riders with an area designed to practice airtime and continue developing their technical skills.
And the work isn't finished yet.
During the celebration, visitors will also have an opportunity to hear more about Phase 3 of the trail development, which is planned to add another six to seven miles of singletrack to the Forbush trail network.
Continued investment in outdoor recreation adds another reason for residents and visitors alike to get outside and experience what the Grayling area has to offer. Projects like this also create new opportunities for families, beginners and experienced riders to enjoy our region's trail systems.
The Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce is excited to celebrate this latest investment in outdoor recreation and recognize the people who have helped bring the project to life.
Bring your bike, bring the family and come hungry!
The celebration begins at noon Sunday, September 27, at Forbush Corners, 4971 CR-612 in Frederic, with the Chamber ribbon cutting scheduled for 1:00 PM.
These three also give you a nice mix on Facebook: community impact, new-member/business investment, and outdoor recreation/event promotion rather than three Chamber-centric stories in a row.
