Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce is the business & community advocate of Crawford County, focusing on the protection & advancement of economic & business development, community image, natural resources & quality of life in the region.

The Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce proudly serves businesses and organizations throughout Crawford County, with our heart firmly rooted in the City of Grayling — the county seat and only incorporated community in Crawford County.

Our membership spans a wide range of industries, including retail, hospitality, healthcare, professional services, nonprofits, agriculture, and the arts, reflecting the full economic ecosystem of our region.

Our Community

We work to attract businesses, new residents, and visitors to the Grayling and Crawford County area, which means our reach extends beyond city limits. Member businesses located in surrounding townships, as well as communities like Roscommon and Gaylord, are also part of our regional network.

Our Visitors & Customers

Grayling draws people from across the state and beyond. The Grayling area is an approximate three-hour or less drive from the metro Detroit, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, and Flint areas, making it an accessible and beloved "up north" destination for millions of Michiganders.

Visitors come for our world-class outdoor recreation, including canoeing, kayaking, fly-fishing, and paddleboarding on the AuSable and Manistee Rivers, as well as trails, golf, hunting, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. Every July, Grayling hosts the start of the AuSable River Canoe Marathon - the longest nonstop canoe race in North America - drawing competitors and spectators from across the country. We celebrate ARCM week with the AuSable River Festival, including a craft show, Kid's Day, Car Show, live music entertainment complete with a beer tent, all in downtown Grayling.

History

Founded in 1942

The Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce has proudly served Crawford County since 1942, more than eight decades of showing up for the businesses, people, and places that make this community what it is.

We were founded on a simple but enduring belief: that when local businesses are connected, supported, and advocating for one another, the whole community wins. Founded with an original board of directors, the Chamber has changed hands many times over the years, evolving with the needs of the region through economic shifts, changing industries, and a community that never stopped growing.

Through it all, our mission has stayed the same. We are the business and community advocate of Crawford County, focusing on the protection and advancement of economic and business development, community image, natural resources, and quality of life in the region.

Today, we're more active than ever: hosting networking events, Business After Hours, community celebrations, fundraisers, and initiatives that connect members to each other and to the resources they need to thrive. We're led by community service-minded individuals dedicated to improving the quality of life in Northern Michigan by attracting businesses, new residents, and visitors to the Grayling and Crawford County area.

From a small group of local business owners who wanted a stronger voice for their community, to a regional organization that champions everything from downtown vitality to outdoor recreation and economic development, we're proud of how far we've come and energized by where we're headed.

Grayling is a special place. We're honored to be its biggest cheerleader.
