Veterans Memorial Park: Honoring the Past, Celebrating New Additions This Veterans Day
This Veterans Day, Veterans United Inc. will present Bullhead City's Veterans Memorial Park with three historic military vehicles, including two World War II jeeps and a deuce and a half, in honor of those who have served.
See how Bullhead City honors our heroes this Veterans Day - from the colorful balloons above to the powerful tributes below.
The dedication ceremony will take place at noon on Veterans Day, following a weekend filled with celebration at the 2nd Annual Bullhead City Balloon Festival. The ceremony will feature words of gratitude and reflection from Mayor Rodney Head and Retired Brigadier General Gene Spicer. The display was made possible through the generosity of the Rotary Club of Bullhead City, Mohave Sunrise Rotary Club, Los Matadores de Bullhead City, and the City of Bullhead City.
These newest additions will stand among the many powerful tributes already found throughout Veterans Memorial Park, a place that continues to grow as a living testament to courage, service, and sacrifice.
Off Whitewater Drive, overlooking the Colorado River, Veterans Memorial Park stands as one of Bullhead City’s most meaningful landmarks, a place of quiet reflection and deep gratitude.
This was the first memorial in Arizona dedicated to honoring veterans who gave their lives in foreign wars. At its center burns an eternal flame, honoring every Medal of Honor recipient from our state.
Each tribute reflects a piece of American history and the spirit of service that runs deep through our community. Visitors often speak of the calm they feel here, a mix of pride, gratitude, and remembrance beneath the open desert sky.
Plan your visit and experience this place of honor for yourself.
More than just a park, Veterans Memorial Park is a reminder of the bravery that shaped our nation and the people who continue to protect it. It’s a place to pause, reflect, and remember that freedom is never taken for granted.
Every park in Bullhead City tells a different story of adventure, connection, and remembrance. Take time to explore them all and discover the one that inspires you most.
