Main Street Kirksville is excited to welcome Jayme Tiberi-Ramos as the new President of the Board of Directors.
A leader shaped by people and place
A downtown business owner at heart
Beyond her work in healthcare, Jayme is also a downtown business owner. She owns and operates Enchanted Babies and Gifts, a children’s boutique in the heart of Kirksville’s downtown. Through this shop, she experiences firsthand what it means to manage a small business: meeting customers by name, juggling inventory and staffing, and contributing to the welcoming, family-friendly feel that makes downtown Kirksville special.
Because she both works in a major regional institution and runs a small local business, Jayme sits at a unique crossroads. She understands how strong systems and smart planning support everyday operations, and she also knows the realities of life on the main street storefront level. That blend of perspectives will help her champion initiatives that are realistic, sustainable, and truly supportive of local business owners.
Deep roots in Kirksville
Jayme has called Kirksville home for the past 20 years. In that time, she and her husband, Walter, have raised five children here, put down roots, and built a life centered around community, school events, and local traditions. Today, she loves spending time with her granddaughter and is eagerly awaiting the arrival of a grandson in May—another generation to grow up in a stronger, more vibrant Kirksville.
Her personal story is intertwined with the city’s story. The same streets where she shops, works, and raises her family are the ones she now helps guide as board president. That sense of ownership and pride in place fuels her commitment to preserving what residents love about downtown while making room for new ideas, new businesses, and new energy.
Vision for Main Street Kirksville
As President of Main Street Kirksville, Jayme is focused on enhancing the vitality of downtown—supporting existing business owners, encouraging new investment, and making sure downtown remains a welcoming, connected hub for residents, students, and visitors. She is especially passionate about creating systems that help volunteers, staff, and board members work together efficiently so that more time and energy can be spent on visible improvements and meaningful events.
Under her leadership, Main Street Kirksville will continue its work to promote downtown as a place to shop, dine, live, and gather, while also listening closely to the needs of the people who call it home. With her experience, her deep local ties, and her belief in what downtown Kirksville can become, Jayme steps into this role ready to serve—and excited to help write the next chapter of our community’s story.
