Main Street Kirksville is the historic downtown area of Kirksville, Missouri, located just a short walk from Truman State University and A.T. Still University. It serves as a vibrant community hub with a variety of restaurants, shops, the Kirksville Arts Association, a local Farmers Market, an 8-screen cinema, and seasonal festivals. The area is dedicated to fostering economic development, revitalizing and preserving downtown, and promoting it as an exciting place to shop, dine, live, work, entertain, invest, and own a business. The organization behind these efforts, formerly known as the Kirksville Downtown Improvement Committee, rebranded as Main Street Kirksville and follows a structured renovation approach through the Missouri Main Street Program focusing on promotion, design, economic vitality, and organization. Main Street Kirksville also hosts community events such as holiday markets and parades, making it the lively heart of Kirksville’s social and commercial life.
