Community Collaboration
Main Street Kirksville Executive Director Laci Cook Visits Noon Rotary
Executive Director Laci Cook met with the Kirksville Noon Rotary Club on 8/5/2026 to share updates on the AARP mural project and highlight the power of community collaboration.
As part of the AARP grant requirements, MSK is committed to gathering feedback from the community to ensure the mural project reflects local voices and priorities. The meeting with Kirksville Noon Rotary served as one of the scheduled feedback sessions, giving community members an opportunity to share input and help shape the project in a meaningful way.
The discussion centered on how public art can celebrate local identity, spark engagement, and bring people together around shared goals.
Laci also encouraged Rotary members to complete MSK’s feedback form, helping ensure community input remains a part of the process. The response reflected the kind of partnership that makes local initiatives stronger, more connected, and more impactful.
“Rotary has been a fantastic partner for MSK, and we truly value the collaborative relationship we’ve built together,” said Laci Cook. “We’re also excited that Rotary will be hosting bingo at the 2026 Whiskey & Turkey Festival, which is another great opportunity to bring people together and have some fun while supporting the community.”
MSK is grateful for the support of the Kirksville Noon Rotary Club and looks forward to continuing this positive partnership. Together, MSK and Rotary are helping create opportunities that celebrate Kirksville, strengthen community ties, and keep the energy moving forward.
