Members of the Lanesboro American Legion march down a sunlit street in a Memorial Day-style parade, carrying multiple American flags and service banners. The group includes veterans and uniformed participants walking in formation along the road, with green trees, parked cars, homes, and a few spectators in the background. The scene has a patriotic, community-focused feel, with bright spring or summer weather and small-town surroundings.
Description

The community of Lanesboro will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a special July 4 parade on Saturday, July 4, beginning at 1:30 p.m. The parade will travel along Parkway Avenue starting at the Highway 16 intersection going through downtown Lanesboro and will feature participation from local community groups, businesses, and organizations.

The parade will be led by the American Legion Post #40 Legionnaires, helping set a patriotic tone for this milestone celebration of the nation’s founding. Spectators are encouraged to line Parkway Avenue, wear their favorite red, white, and blue, and help fill Lanesboro with patriotic spirit.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate America’s 250th anniversary in true small-town fashion,” said organizer Deane Benson of American Legion Post #40. “We’re excited to see local businesses, organizations, families, and neighbors take part in making this a memorable and meaningful July 4 celebration in Lanesboro.”
